Mike Czuba - Playwrite Mike Czuba is the founder of a theatre collective in Montreal called Dancing Monkey Theatre and one of the founding members of Theatre Transit in Calgary. He was most recently seen in The Adventures of Don Marcos Sebastian Guevara Fantastico (Wagon Stage). His play Hope Is Dead won Walterdale Theatre’s ‘Cradle to Stage’ competition in Edmonton and received a full production in May 2011. Other playwriting credits include: I AM I, Waiting on the Thunder, The Elusive, and Satie et Cocteau: A Rehearsal of a Play of a Composer by a Poet.
Laura Allen - Laura is originally from Montreal, Quebec where she got her start in theatre. She has worn many hats, having worked both on-stage and off. Laura received her BFA from Concordia University in Theatre and Development, and her BEd from Queen’s University in the Artist in Community Education program. She moved to Calgary 2 years ago and currently works as an Educator at Calgary Arts Academy. Laura is very excited to be returning to the stage and making her Calgary debut as part of the Soulocentric Festival.
Melissa Tuplin - A native Calgarian, Melissa Tuplin trained at the International School of Ballet and the McDonald Wilson Dance Academy. After completing a BFA Contemporary Dance at Montreal's Concordia University, she returned to Calgary to work as an independent choreographer, teacher and dance artist. Most recently, her work was shown during the Ignite! Festival in June 2011.
