ABOUT US
Soulocentric is a performing arts company that knows no boundaries between theatre, dance and music. We love to create original works in all of these performing disciplines and even like to mix them together in each of our shows to engage you, our audience, with a diversified performance that will speak to your soul on many different levels. We aim to expose music lovers to dance, dance lovers to theatre, theatre lovers to music- arts lovers to more arts! And we cherish our local artists and strive to showcase their talents at every opportunity.
Soulocentric Performing Arts Society is a small company that has been in existence since 2002. We began as an exclusively 'solo' performance based company called Solocentric Theatre and Dance, that ran a yearly festival showcasing independent performing arts creating new theatre and dance works or presenting new original music.
With our new identity as Soulocentric Performing Arts we want to go beyond the festival and include diverse programming that will invite people from all walks of life to be a part of our community and enjoy our productions. While we continue to produce an annual festival of solo performance, we endeavour to grow our performance programming into original new creations that integrate theatre, dance and music and cater to a variety of people seeking arts and cultural events in the city and surrounding area.
